1st Annual Parkrose Middle School Ride for Education
What a great Day we had! Cool overcast sky's, the rain held off all day!!! Plenty to drink and great Ride Stories to share between each other after each route leg. A few bikes broke down but Mr. Phelps came to the rescue on his Moped to lend assistance. Everyone Had a Helmet and cost was not an issue thanks to Mike Morrison of the Emanuel Trauma Center. Every Child had a bike to ride thanks to Greg Raisman and the City of Portland Dept. of Transportation.
Our event Sponsors were on hand with goodies to hand out to all riders, and assisted with all happenings. We had a great Live Jazz experience from "Jazz Express". This was a wonderful treat for all to enjoy as they finished their ride and enjoyed a BBQ that was put on buy the High School Boosters.
Thank you to all for supporting the event and most of all for participating in the event. Next years will be even bigger and better yet. Mark your calendars now the tentative date is set for Earth Day Weekend April 19th 2008. A chance to support your school and prove that Parkrose school color is GREEN, not just in sprit!!!!
